The 16th iteration of Asia’s premier cricket championship, the Asia Cup 2023, is slated to commence on Wednesday, August 30th. The opening clash will feature Pakistan taking on Nepal. The tournament will exclusively follow the 50-over format. Six teams, namely India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, will be participating in this grand cricket spectacle.
India has secured the championship on seven occasions, while Sri Lanka has emerged victorious four times. Guided by Rohit Sharma, the Indian team is at the helm, with aspirations of clinching the title for an unprecedented eighth time in the history of the tournament.
Featuring the talents of Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammad Shami, India’s squad is enriched with substantial experience.
